I might even dangle them from the low hanging branches of the big oak tree that shades our patio table! How fun would it be to use the "Parsley" as a utensil holder?
Home Typography Tuesday
After ten years of living in an apt with only a small deck as outside space I am overjoyed with the idea of a full yard to play with this summer. Then I come across these most adorable wall hanging crates and think how perfect they would have been hanging off the apartments outside wall! Either way I am just loving these and think they would be darling in many areas of the home!

Simple Sunshine
Yes I am a designer but sometimes I crave a room that is designed down. The room below is the perfect visual for this statement. Yes pieces flow together but it is a mismatch of simple items that all work together (could that chair be a Brimfield Find?). It is not overly fussy but overly relaxed. Today I am craving this space but more so all that sunshine that is streaming in the windows. After what seems like a month of rain in the Northeast I am hoping our reward will be a summer filled with simple sunshine days and relaxed rooms!

A Whirlwind Week Brimfield + Blogfest2011 Part 1
Good Morning Friends! The last week was literally a whirlwind I feel like it was just yesterday I was picking a winner for our Coulson Macleod giveaway! Well today we get back on track with a 2 part recap of the last week and than back to daily inspirational postings!
Part 1 - Brimfield Antique Market:
As you know I look forward to Brimfield like others look forward to Christmas morning! It is so much fun waking up before the sun comes up to trek out to western Mass and scout for treasures! This year was even more fun as I had 2 of my best friends with me AND there was a fun #Brimfield tweet up hosted by Benjamin Moore, Daily Basics and the fabulous Gretchen Aubuchon!

I immediately fell in love with these chairs. They are not vintage but made such a striking impact with their exaggerated backs and nailhead trim that I could not help but stop and stare!
This stunning chandelier wanted to come home with me but I just didn't have a place for it! Though I visualize a feminine bathroom with this hanging over a gorgeous clawfoot tub, almost like raindrops falling from the sky!
This year I was overwhelmed....in the best possible way with all of the linen vendors! It is by far my weakness and every year I fall in love with this New England scene. Someday I will grab it to put in the beach house, that is when I buy the beach house!! The red and turquoise is one of my favorite color combos!
To see even more of my Brimfield finds pop over to my photo album here!

@Studio140Boston
What is @Studio140Boston you ask? It's where the design studio and Twitter merge (studio + 140 characters) it is a place where local designers who are involved with Social Media come together to share sources, ideas and meet in real life!
This idea had been brewing in my mind for over a year. As I attended all these wonderful conferences across the country I was continually meeting Boston designers and wondering why I was not meeting them at home? So I set out to create an event where designers could meet the friends they talk to daily on Twitter in real life and I have to say it was one wonderful evening! The fabulous Miggy and Roisin of Twelve Chairs offered up their creative space as our first gathering spot and acted as my partners in event planning! The local luxury magazine Perspective New England offered to be our sponsor for the night and we can't thank Jennifer enough!

Monday Morning Happy
Good Morning Friends! How was your weekend?
This week is off to a running start and my hope is to stay focused and productive through out the week not just on Monday. Do you ever start a week off with high hopes and than get distracted by other work projects and just life in general? Thank goodness for Monday's and the option to start over!

This is my idea of a productive office space, a long table to spread out, an abundance of storage shelves and of course huge windows to let the sun in! Can you hear the upbeat music in the background? Yes that could be me choosing fabrics and dancing around my work table!
Enjoy the new week!

Happy Mother's Day Weekend
This weekend I will be celebrating my Mom and when I saw this card I realized once again there were no truer words than these! HOME really is where your Mom is and I am one lucky girl because I have the best Mom out there!
(image from Tiny Prints and unknown authors via Pinterest)
If I could create the perfect day for my Mom, I would start by sending her to this secluded little sunroom in the middle of a garden. The room would be filled with fresh cut flowers (something she has in her house daily), all of her favorite books and truth be told a bag of jelly beans. Here she could read, enjoy the quietness and just relax!
After she is fully rejuvenated from her time away I would plan a lovely dinner party by the ocean's edge with all of her children and grandchildren. It would be a catered dinner so there would be no cooking and no cleaning just laughter and good conversation!
Happy Mother's Day to my special Mom and to all the Mom's who read CreateGirl, enjoy your weekend!

Dreaming Up a Bedroom with Bogle Street
Good Morning, today you can find me over at Bogle Street: The Blog! Katie asked me to create a "Newlywed's Bedroom" which was a fun and eye opening exercise, especially since I was scouting pieces with the fiance sitting right next to me! It all started when we fell in love with this bedding than...
You think I would give it all away here? No way! Jump over to Bogle Street: The Blog to see additional pieces and how we meshed our two styles in one room!
