Gold & Glam Chandeliers

As I was scouting for a client's dining room chandelier I came across these two lovelies and immediately had a gold crush! Whether you choose a sophisticated silk shade with clean lines or a linen shade with pretty oyster crystals pair it with gold and you will surely add glamour to the dining room.
The best part they are both affordable, can you guess which one is under $300?

Here's a little tip, take off the chain link and add a solid rod that matches the finish. It is a simple way to elevate the style and continue the flow from base to ceiling (it also increase the chic factor...chain link is so not chic)!

What is you answer? Which one is the less expensive chandelier?

Affordable Wall Decor - Karole Moe Art

The first time I saw Karole Moe Art was back in September at the SoWa Market in Boston. Since that day I have been dying to use her work in a project! Karole paints on birch plywood with left over house paint (a genius way to recycle, right?!) and than adds a 2 part resin coating which gives the piece an exceptional sheen! This application is what drew me into her booth,  it creates such a movement within each piece. Of course the affordability of her art is a bonus for all!

"Stripes have inspired me for many years. As an artist I have always used stripes to build layers and depth into my work. For me, the line itself means a great deal in the emotion it can provoke. Color is also a wavelength that I incorporate into everything I do as an artist." Karole Moe

Karole's smaller pieces start at $50, a great price to buy multiple and group them together!

Monday Morning Happy

Today is the last day of winter which is a bit strange for this Northeast girl because not once did I take out my shovel!! I don't ever remember a year without significant snowfall but this chilly girl will not complain! Spring has arrived early and this weekend was perfect for eating outdoors and lounging on a porch!

How was your weekend? Did you "miss" out on winter this year?
Happy new week,

Elle Decor + Milan = An Interior Delight

I spend most Friday afternoons responding and cleaning out my inbox with the hopes I can start Monday morning fresh. Is this the most exciting way to end the week? Not really but on occasion an email pops up and brings pure joy to the task. This was the case today when Elle Decor sent over a sneak peek of April's cover! The navy wrap around sofa is so incredible that I literally squealed with delight! As you know I have been on a MAJOR Navy kick the last few months even ordering my very own Navy Sofa for our Living Room. Below you will see 2 images from the issue that is out on Tuesday and in the issue they are taking us to Milan! Fabulous!

In love with Vervain Linen Wallpaper

Jeffrey Bilhbuber floored me with this gorgeous Manhattan master bedroom. Normally I am a girl that prefers a bit of color but with all the texture in this space there is no need for it and honestly leads to a much more restful space! The spotlight truly belongs to the beyond stunning Vervain linen wallpaper which weaves its way through the bedroom, the master bathroom and dressing room!

Monday Morning Happy

I must admit I am still getting use to my "new life"! When I was a single girl living alone it was not uncommon for me to plow through a project all weekend, barely coming out of my creative zone to eat. Now that there are 2 other people living with me I realize how important it is to put down all of the electronic devices and get back to the simple act of playing. It can be something as simple as a quick card game, reading a silly book or clearing the living room furniture for a dance off (which happens often). Planning a wedding, running a business and taking care of a house can quickly eat up the entire week so when I came across this image on Pinterest it really stuck with me. Not only does it give me a time out to be silly and reconnect with the family, it usually leads to a burst of creativity at work!

Here's hoping there is some time to "play" in your new week!
