Beach House Daydreaming

Since this week has been about my "Dream Home" it is only fitting I continue with the Beach House Dream Home. So the question remains; am I more of a waterfront beach house girl or a pool side lush green grass kind of girl?

I do love my decks and this would be the perfect space for dinner parties...

SoAccentsMyhome
though if I am going to swim I prefer to be in a pool! This looks so inviting!

To be honest if a girl is going to truly dream than I guess I would like the best of both worlds!
Which one do you prefer?

If you are in the U.S. I hope you have a wonderful long 4th of July weekend! Everyone else visit me over on Pinterest (if you need an invite leave your email in the comments below) while I take a 3 day break!

My Dream House at La Dolce Vita

Today I am over at La Dolce Vita sharing my dream home! I was so honored when the incredibly talented Paloma asked me to participate. Not only is her blog one of the most inspiring, the woman herself is a creative dynamo! She is the Editor in Chief of the gorgeous online magazine High Gloss. If you have not viewed their second issue run over now, I promise you will come away daydreaming of redecorating your own space! You are in luck as the 3rd issue goes live tomorrow, just in time for reading by the pool!

Above is the gorgeous image I chose from Jan Showers as my dream entryway!

Color Time - Benjamin Moore Pearl Harbor

This Color Time is courtesy of a super talented photographer, Nichole of Little Brown Pen. Recently  while visiting her blog I came across these pictures of her living room and knew you would all just love this paint color! At times my clients are afraid of color and want to only use "neutrals" in their home, colors like Pearl Harbor are always a great compromise. Neutral but still a good shot of color!

Little Brown Pen
Isn't her living room fabulous? I love the gray sofa against this paint color and of course her photos look smashing too!

LittleBrownPenEtsy
Whenever I need a visual break Little Brown Pen is the place I visit. The images are always so serene and inspiring! The great news is Nichole sells her prints over in her Etsy store and even better news, she is coming out with a book in the spring of 2012! I can't wait!

*Note: The above room is the actual paint color not just a resemblance of the color. As you can see above, the paint chip sample online looks different than what is in the actual room photo. When choosing paint for your own home never go by what you see online, the color will always be a tad different. I suggest picking up a small paint sample at the store and paint a color swatch in the actual room, than you will never be disappointed!

Blue and White Summer Loving

Happy First Day of summer friends! Woohooo this is much better than Christmas Morning in my opinion. The idea of sunny skies, warmth straight to the bone and lazy days in the backyard make me crazy happy! As much as I love bright colors for my outdoor rooms sometimes sticking with the classic combo of blue and white is a good thing!

Monday Morning Happy

Morning Friends! How was your weekend? I had a great day celebrating Father's Day with my favorite guy, my Dad! Since I was a little girl I have loved learning from my Dad. He taught me a skill all girls (in my opinion) should know; how to use a hammer, wrench and screwdriver. To this day I am forever grateful I can fix most (small) things on my own! I have also followed his lead in starting my own company. I am that girl who will always look up to her Dad and think he is the coolest guy I know! Thanks Dad for always being so supportive!

This is a picture of me & my Dad from my brother's wedding! Soon he will be the "father of the bride"!

Black and Gold Wins!

Last night was a moment to remember in Boston. If you have never visited this city let me just tell you it is a sports town and when one of our teams bring home a victory everyone celebrates. Our hockey team, The Bruins won game 7 and are bringing home the Stanley cup after a long 39 years!! Today I thought it would be fun to share the teams colors in interior rooms! I hope you are celebrating something fun today as well!

If you are a Bruins Fan and want to bring home a piece of the Bruins victory for yourself check out this wall decor from JHill Design!

S+H Construction and the 120yr old house

When I came across this incredible house on S+H Construction's Facebook page I just knew I had to share it. Not only is this house quintessential New England it is 120 years old, that's right 120 YEARS OLD! S+H took on the interior and exterior construction with Charles Myers Architects focusing on the architectural details.

Imagine coming home to this? The house resides on one of the more historic streets in Cambridge!

Courtney Taylor of Taylor Interior Design worked her magic on the interiors and the results are spectacular! Seeing the strong colored rooms like the dining room mixed with the serene colors of the living room make me want to pack my bags and move right in. Well since I don't think the homeowners would appreciate me turning up on their doorstep with my luggage we will just have to peek through the windows....err I mean these photos! Enjoy

Monday -Afternoon- Happy!

Today was off to a running start from the moment I woke up but when I came across this gorgeous winery high atop a South African mountain, I knew I had to stop in my tracks and share it with you! Now this little gem of a place would be the perfect location to unwind after a long Monday!

WSouthAfricaMMH
I especially love the unfussy furniture. No curved lines or embellishments to distract you from the view...or the wine!

To see other photos of the winery jump on over to W!
Enjoy the new week,

Let's Talk - Panels

Morning! I just came across this picture and thought this would be spark a good conversation. What do you all think about different colored panels for windows that are next to each other? It appears one is a pink and the other a vivid yellow. I wish I could see the rest of the space to get a better sense of the colors but scouting around the net nothing came up.

What are your thoughts? Would you ever consider hanging different colored panels in your home?
