Lately I have seen so many rooms with wallpapered ceilings and I wonder how you feel about this trend? Since your eye is immediately drawn to the ceiling does it take away from the rest of the room? Do you prefer a big bold print or one more subtle? I wonder if it is more appropriate for certain rooms like a dining room?
I would love to hear your opinion, is it something you would do in your own home or is this a trend you will just let pass you by? Let's Chat!

Color Time - Benjamin Moore Fresh Cut Grass Serenity
Interior Designer Timothy Mather's room was an easy selection for today's Color Time post! It is just the massive dose of spring happiness I needed! The Serenity painted ceiling literally makes me feel as if I am outside on a sunny day. I would argue this color combination would be perfect year round as it would surely chase away any winter time blues!

*Note: The above room is the actual paint color not just a resemblance of the color. As you can see above, the paint chip sample online looks different than what is in the actual room photo. When choosing paint for your own home never go by what you see online, the color will always be a tad different. I suggest picking up a small paint sample at the store and paint a color swatch in the actual room, than you will never be disappointed!

Monday Morning Happy
Hello my sweet friends! How was your weekend? If you celebrate Easter did you enjoy your day?
After my client appointments on Saturday I was in full home improvement mode which started with the "Mini Vogs" bedroom. We finally picked a color and got to painting his room (more to come on this later). Sunday was just gorgeous, it truly smelled like spring in the air and all I wanted to do was spend the entire day outside. The adorable bike above would just have been the perfect spring escape!
Enjoy the new week,

A Designers Type of Easter Basket
Who says Easter baskets need to be filled with candy? I am putting a request in for mine to be filled with these brightly colored "Palm Springs Block" pillows from Trina Turk! Once my mouse landed on this photo I immediately had vision of pretty spring flowers popping up all over the place! After all isn't Easter the unofficial start of spring?
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and it is one full of sunshine and family!

Seeing Twins in the Guest Room
This week my soon to be in laws are visiting which of course has me wishing the guest room was up to a designers standards. Since I have just moved into the new house, I will just have to let it slide that it is not perfectly decorated. It did get me thinking of guest rooms and whether a Queen Bed or 2 Twin beds are better! The images below of two twins is very appealing to me but I wonder if it is because it brings back fun memories of sharing a room with my sister!
If certain guests prefer to be a weee bit closer you can always push together the beds to create a cozier feel!!
What do you say, do you prefer a double bed or 2 twins in a guest room?

Home Typography Tuesday
As I sit in my office overwhelmed by my fabric samples I came upon this image and breathed a very loud sigh of relief! It's the ultimate marriage of home decor and typography! If this is not the perfect and may I say chic fabric storage solution than I am not sure what is. My only issue is I think I will need to double each bin size to accommodate my samples!

The Perfect Girls Getaway
Over on Twitter a few of my favorite creative girlfriends have been chatting about a *budget friendly* girls weekend so when I came across this sweet room I knew it would be a perfect retreat! The fun part of any girls getaway is staying up late, swapping stories and these beds are perfectly positioned! Notice the absence of electronic devices? Do I hear the words completely unplugged?! Yes that would be heavenly! The only thing I might add is a small table at the end of each bed...after all we need a place to stash our magazines!
My requirements for a great girls getaway? Fabulous friends, a little bit of sun, no schedule and lots of time for girl chats! Wine and great food would make it pure bliss! What are your requirements for good girl time?
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Color Time - Benjamin Moore Merlot Red
This could be a telling sign, for the last few hours I have been searching for a happy spring like color for today's post but I keep coming back to "Merlot" Red. Maybe we should all pull a chair to this bar, end the work day a bit early and pour ourselves a glass! Want to join me? We can talk paint colors while we sip wine!

Monday Night Happy!
Now it's Monday night and I am just getting to write a quick post, so I felt the need to change today's title! Is your week off to a good start? I came across this photo over at Desire to Inspire and was blown away. Not only is it completely inviting but the styling by Roland Persson is incredible! The book pages hanging on the rocks, the simple chair off to the side, the extra comforter folder ever so neatly at the end of the bed, the clear vase with just a wisp of fern, it is all so visually exciting. As with any beautifully styled room my mind starts to daydream and I create a story around this scene.
What do you think is happening in this here? Do you love a good styling job as much as I do?
Enjoy the new week!

An Affordable Sun Porch Design
A motto of Jace Interiors is "Design With What You Have" quite often clients call me saying they don't have the budget to buy all new furniture but still want a new room feel. How do we accomplish this? We mix what they currently own with a few new pieces, it's like one big puzzle and I love the challenge! This photo is a perfect example!
Dust off that old picnic table from the side yard and bring it inside. Maybe give it a coat of high gloss white paint if you are looking for a more modern scheme or leave it natural for a rustic feel. To create the look above pair the table with a few metal chairs from a budget friendly place like Home Decorators Club. Use the existing picnic bench propped against a wall with a long cushion from HomeGoods and you will have a similar room! If you really want to take it up a notch purchase Sunbrella accent pillow covers only and recover the pillows that you are not using (maybe the ones that are sitting on the guest room bed that no one ever see)! Finally you will have a sun porch that you will be happy to entertain in and you didn't spend a ton of money!

Monday Morning Happy!
Morning Friends! How was your weekend? Did you work on any creative projects?
My spare time has been spent coming up with fabulous ideas for what will be the most important project of my life, a wedding! It has taken some time to find the location but the one thing I am absolutely sure of is the table style. I envision a reception with long Tuscan style tables serving big platters of Italian food. Think a casual Sunday Supper, long, lazy and full of cheer! To see more of my wedding inspiration pop on over to my Pinterest Page!
Hope you all have a great new week and if you have favorite wedding blogs please leave them for me in the comment section!
