Meg Ryan escapes to the Vineyard

Living in Massachusetts Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer which means the ferries are packed with people going over to Martha's Vineyard for a quick getaway! So when I saw Meg Ryan's fresh MV home in the new Elle Decor I just had to share! Her practical rules for designing are ones we could all use when moving in to a new home!

My favorite part of her home is the kitchen with its ample windows and the vintage flower sign in the dining room! Fantastic! For more info pop over to Elle Decor and read all of Meg's tips!

I love homes that use a lot of white, but sometimes life gets a little messy - especially when you live with pets. :)

I love Martha's Vineyard and have no doubt that Meg Ryan's home is fantastic.
When did she become such a design aficionado? Funny how more and more celebrities are getting into design.

Amazing! I just got my copy of Elle Decor yesterday and can't wait to settle into this weekend! Funny thing, I was in this house before Meg bought it and it was all done in Indian influences—saris, jewels, everything and not a wall in white that I remember. The renovation was done by Mark Hutker and builder Bob Stafford. I hope they got credit!

I love the black in the moving parts of the windows against the white trim. I might try that in my own house.
