The contrast of today's "Home Type Tuesday" is courtesy of the super talented photographer Toby Scott and is utterly delightful. Is there anything better than a sharp blue door to welcome you into a cozy cafe? It just beckons you to enter! The "typography" part comes from the ingenious roll of brown craft paper above the door that states the days specials. Perfectly unique and a smart affordable solution!

Home Typography Tuesday - Budget Friendly Art
Morning All! I love to change my wall decor every few months (que the eye roll of my new hubby who likes things to stay in one place...) it always livens up a space and gives that new room feeling! So when I came across this image on Better Homes and Gardens I knew this is just the affordable option I needed!
Scan your book covers and hang them in identical frames. This is fun in an office space but how about in a small powder room? Lined on one wall from floor to ceiling? That would be interesting!
I have always loved the oversize Penguin Book Cover art but I think for me, something more personal would work better. Especially since I have so many favorite books and their cover art would be a great reminder of those stories!
What room would you use this affordable wall decor in? Another thought....a beach cottage with fun summer reads framed!
Home Typography Tuesday
This type print says it all "Do More of What Makes YOU Happy" what a great quote to start a new year off with! Hang this in your office or a room you are in several times a time, surround it with images of places, people and things you love and your intention is set!
What would you like to do more of in 2013?

Home Typography Tuesday with Laurel Denise
Laurel Denise's "Glass Wish" vases make the perfect gift for all of the typography lovers on your list! With sweet sayings like "You are my Sunshine" and "Choose Joy" they are a little something extra to brighten your desk, window sill or dresser. I love gifts that can boost your mood and remind us to slow down and be thankful for the little things. Plus her motto "accessories for your accessories" is just fabulous!
"Do small things with great love"
Each bud vase is $18 and the perfect size for a stocking stuffer!

Home Typography Tuesday - Chalkboard Dining Chairs
With the holidays fast approaching we should talk about seating arrangements! At High Point Market, Bernhardt inspired us all with their dining room Louis and Percy Chairs. They cleverly use chalkboard paint on the back of the chairs so guests can easily see where they are seated! Adding Typography to your dining chairs, a genius idea and I LOVE it!
What do you say, would you use chalkboard paint on your chairs?

Home Typography Tuesday - Prada Marfa
The Prada Marfa print has been all over Pinterest the last few month but nothing makes me commit to a piece of wall decor like seeing it in an actual space! Like this print? You will love these rooms!

Home Typography Tuesday
It has been a while since I posted a "Home Type Tuesday" but when I saw this image in the WSJ Magazine I knew it was time to share! Every inch of the members only club, 5 Hertford Street is a feast for the eye. From the layered Oushak rugs to the ceiling high wall collages there is a huge amount of visual excitement in this space. When you happen upon a bright white door with a simple scroll of "gentlemen" it is a break for the eye and forces you to take notice. I just love it and feels a bit unexpected in this setting!
If you need a 3pm work break, grab a cup of tea and tour the rest of Robin Birley's Club and home. It is truly incredible!

Home Typography Tuesday - Numbered Baskets
Welcome to another Home Type Tuesday where we show our love for home decor and typography!
The easiest way to get organized? Baskets! The easiest way to take them to a designers level? Paint fun numbers on them! When I came across this photo over on Emily's blog I knew it would be the perfect inspiration for all of us who love organized chaos and live with neat freaks...uhhumm yes I am talking to the hubby, thankfully he is patient with me!

If this was our playroom the designer in me would label each basket with the year each person was born and maybe the day. Each family member would than get 2 baskets. Mine would be 28 and 72!
Fun right?

Home Typography Tuesday - The Big Day Cards
Yes I love Pinterest because it makes my work life so much easier but who knew I was going to fall head over heels with it while planning the wedding?! It was the place I saved every image that captured my attention and the place I shared information with my wedding party! It was also where I found these adorable cards which we tucked into the welcome bags! With my love of typography you know I was over the moon and to my excitement so was "Mr. Vog"!
Mindy of Pixels to Paper was super easy and nice to work with! Her turnaround time and attention to detail were also amazing!
This pillow from Sugarboo Designs is just too sweet to pass up! I think it would be a nice addition once I start on the Master Bedroom, redesign!
Home Typography Tuesday
I love these gold "RO" letters and how they play off the black accents and fur vest in this space! This setting is a good example of how black and gold can be paired with a sparse white room and still add that bit of dark drama! Fantastic!
Rooms like this always have me creating stories in my head like who lives here and what does R O stand for? In my mind it is for my Aunt Rosalie who like the horns of that animal just kicked cancers arse! She sure deserves a gold RO!

Home Typography Tuesday
This "Home Type Tuesday" is a very subtle one but sometimes those make the biggest impact! The Nite Nite monogrammed shams are just adorable, I love how they peek out from behind the accent pillows. So sweet!
Not to mention the other fabulous items in this room. Hello amazing blue zebra headboard and Shine orange sidetable! You are the perfect pair!

What would Valentine's Day be without a little "love" typography for our home? Love where you live!!

Home Typography Tuesday
Morning! I LOVE this room! As soon as I pinned it I knew it was one that needed to be shared. I am drawn to images where there is such structure but also so much detail. Check out the EAT painted onto the table, fun right? The bits of typography included in the wall decor is so appealing, it is just the perfect amount!

This Pottery Barn monogrammed cozy throw is on sale right now for $39!

Of course I am tempted to do a little shopping for myself and I think these West Elm plates will be just perfect for Christmas Morning treats!
A favorite item to give year round are these super affordable tote bags from Ballard Designs. They are only $20 and are so versatile! I use mine to schlep around all my paint decks!
Happy Shopping!!
Home Typography Tuesday
What better way to celebrate a bit of holiday decorating than by adding typography to your rooms! Below are a few of my favorites and the best part of all most are affordable do it yourself options which means more money to spend on gifts!
Which one would you use in your home this holiday season?

Home Typography Tuesday
Morning All!! I grew up in an Italian house where someone was always saying "Mangia Mangia" so when I came across this EAT I giggled to myself! Now that I am a Mom I hear myself saying the same thing during a drawn out dinner...EAT EAT!
Yes the typography is fantastic but take a look deeper into this room. The mix of the industrial chairs with a faux built in that is a contrasting finish is a nice change from the norm of continuing the same finish across the wall. Also can you see the Seagrass arm chair to the right? Check out the outside arm, it looks to be painted! A fabulous accent!
Home Typography Tuesday - Libra Style
Morning! It's one of my favorite months...the month of the Libra! Maybe I am biased but I love being a Libra, it's in everything I do. The balance, the creativity, the love of family, home and fun dinner parties I am the quintessential definition of this sign! When I came across these adorable Zodiac Pillows at Serena & Lily I scanned my mind for someone about to have a baby! This pillow would look darling on a rocking chair or this print hanging on a nursery wall! The secret is out I love astrology but as they say....I take it with a grain of salt!

Happy Birthday month to a few of my favorite blogging friends

This wouldn't be the first time I was called a "Social Butterfly"!
Not a Libra? No worries there is a pillow for you too!

Home Typography Tuesday
There is something about this home I came across on Design* Sponge that really resonates with me. I am not sure if it is the mix of the rustic pillows and the glam sunburst but it feels so...well...me. Isn't that incredible when an image can speak directly to your sense of home? Then again it could be the Typography that is tugging at my heart strings!
Imagine being welcomed home by this "Love You" pillow everyday? Now this would make me stop at the front steps, take a deep breath and be thankful for what I have!
Home Typography Tuesday
Sometimes we are all so busy running around our cities that we don't stop and take the time to appreciate the small details that make our home towns so pretty. Recently the fabulous Cassandra of Coco + Kelley came to town and we took a little walking tour. It was so much fun to have an entire day to wander around the neighborhoods and just soak in the architecture. Every few yards we would stop and stare at a gorgeous building which was promptly followed up with a long sigh of "awww I wish I lived here"!
This doorway in the South End of Boston is one of my favorites and I thought Home Type Tuesday would be the perfect time to share it! A great home number can truly set the tone for the rest of your house! With the abundance of detail in this archway, this one works seamlessly. I can just imagine what the inside of the house looks like!
