Let's Talk - Open Storage in the Bathroom

I came across this bathroom from Nate Berkus and like the clean, sparse feeling of it. Though I wonder what is your opinion on open storage in the bathroom like this? Do you like your towels at arms length? Would it drive you nuts if they were not always folded just perfect?

I would love to hear your opinion!

I can't figure out why you need so many towels in the first place? It looks beautiful, but doesn't seem realistic. I would always be refolding them to get it perfect!

I actually love this idea. It would force me to be organized as long as I have a place to hang a wet towel : )

If I had the room I would love some open storage, fluffy white folded towels would make me feel like I was living in a hotel!

I love this! Big fan of open shelving and the black & white combo. It just gives it a more open, relaxed feeling in that space and combining the natural rattan or wicker baskets or boxes just adds to the warmth. Beautiful!

Ugh. It's nice in theory, but would drive me absolutely crazy in practice. It would be way too hard to maintain.

I like a couple of in-use towels on hooks and the rest hidden away in a linen closet. But that's just me. I'm too anal to tolerate an arrangement like this.

i kind of love this but, like you, question the practicality of it. maybe in a guest bedroom it would be great? that way they won't feel like they're creeping through your cabinet looking for something!

I think it might drive me a little crazy... it looks great now, but what about when your significant other gets in there and folds them the wrong way? I'm a big fan of closed storage - it allows for messiness without the insanity for those of us who are OCD-inclined ;)
