Let's just start by saying AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, BREATH TAKING as words to describe this 5200 sq ft "Ocean Breezes" beach house in New Hampshire! The "Sea Salt" color which weaves its way through the main floor mimics the sea and sky while creating a calming feel. Rooms easily open from one to another with views of the Atlantic from every angle,
heavenly! One aspect of the house I love most is the reverse layout, the guest bedrooms are on the first floor and the living spaces including the kitchen are on the second floor. This house has a more elegant beach house feel but regardless of your taste in beach houses I think we can all find something to love about this one! Did you see the black and white toile bedroom, the bold stripes in the hall with the sweet lighthouse, oh and the master bedroom with that old world Hollywood feel? That is a room I would like to wake up in every single day and end my day with dinner on the terrace! I am going to stop writing now so you can all take the tour. You all know what I think, but what are your thoughts on this house? Do you like the idea of a reverse home?

That oval window in the dining room is killer! What an elegant beach retreat, thanks for sharing with us!

Unbelievable home! Love those stripes up the staircase and that view from the kitchen is amazing. Thanks for sharing this one.
Everything about this beach house is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous!!
Looking at the pics again, I just noticed the light house newel post -- so charming :-) The dining room & master bedroom are my very favourite rooms, but really, every room is amazing. I'd even be happy washing the dishes with that awesome view through the kitchen windows!!

What a beautiful post. Getting me in the mood to go to the beach.
I have a small property (covered in sand) at the shore and one day, I will be building my eco-friendly upside down house, so that I can enjoy the sunsets on the bay.
My favorite photo is the one of the lighthouse newel post framed by those amazing horizontal stripes.
Thanks for a peek into a new magazine to love!
I love this house! I shot it for Beautiful Homes (now defunct) and we got to spend two days looking out at the ocean and having lunch smelling the amazing sea spray.
It was really funny to see these photos in Coastal Home. They actually first appeared in New England Home two years ago and were styled by the editor of New England Home, Kyle Hoepner. Yes, these are the same photos, no reshoot. The house was also the cover of NEH. Must have been July-August 2008.
Ahhhh so beautiful! I'm obsessed with thick horizontal bands of colour - love it on the wall with the stairs where most people would choose to elongate the staircase with verticals. Wonderful!
I could definitely enjoy some time with a good book (and a glass of vermouth on the rocks) on that porch - thanks for sharing :)
Like a breath of fresh air. So soothing. I wish they'd change the counter tops in the kitchen though, they're from another story.
Wow. Thank you so much Julie for this beautiful post. You captured perfectly the style and spirit of this spectacular home in every way. We are so grateful to the homeowners for allowing us to tell their story through the talented Jamie Thompson, and we love TMS architects and the very creative team of designers involved in this project, indoors and out. Special thanks, of course, go to Rob Karosis, who shot this for our very first cover, and whose image also appears on the cover of our second issue. The Seacoast of northern New England is blessed with incredible beauty; thank you for calling attention to it in such a lovely post. Lynn
Drooling over that view and the adorable banister detail in the staircase! Have a lovely weekend, Julie!
What a beautiful post this is! Such an airy home, with such great details... I really enjoy the blue and white stripes, the window in the dining room and that fantastic outdoor dining area. Another fantastic post. Wishing you a lovely weekend ahead :)
