I just came across this photo and before I throw in my designer 2 cents...I wonder, what are your thoughts on Black molding?? Please share!

I like! Think it works for this room because of the high ceilings..

This is absolutely gorgeous, I'm in love with the ceiling and walls...very Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I'm just getting caught up on a few weeks worth of your posts, but my vote is "yes" for black trim!

Like the concept but I'm thinking there's 1 too many black lines my eyes seem to want to leave the room & just look up. Perhaps remove 1 from the cornice.

I think this looks great, but feel like a room needs high ceilings to be able to pull it off properly.

thanks for all the comments! I did not want to sway the conversation by putting in my 2cents first. I kept coming back to this photo, which is usually a good sign. partly because my eye jumps all over the room, its definitely not calming but that's part of its appeal. The way the black creates a sharp border is a great affect. With all that said I like this room but might need to "white out" the ceiling molding to make it livable for me! Great convo, thanks again!

I love the mix of contemporary and chic light shades. That bamboo looks amazing too.

the black trim is making the architectural elements of the space look even more amazing.

I like it in this room. I would have to see everything first, you know?

Levina, I agree it is a great way to put a spotlight on the architectual details. It's one of the things I love most about Boston homes!
