The Amazing Collaboration of Kravet & Thom Filicia

Here is a little story about a fabric loving girl, quickly walking through the lobby of the Boston Design Center when her feet came to a screeching hault. I mean literally you could hear the brakes being slammed! This is when I came face to face with gorgeous runs of fabric in amazingly upbeat patterns! Can you believe it was the first peek of the Kravet Thom Filicia collaboration? I was so excited about one particular print that I actually needed to have it for myself not just for another project but for ME!! Feverishly I scoured the internet and found nothing about the collection until I went to twitter and was immediately DMed by the Kravet Team, can we say FABULOUS customer service? The entire line is yet to be released but here are a few patterns available on their website. You know me, I couldn't keep this to myself so here I share what I have found so far!

A few of my handy iphone photos from the BDC lobby!

Do you love the style of Thom Filicia as much as I do? Thanks again to the Jen at Boston's Kravet Location for additional info!!

Sis Boom Happy!

Over the weekend I was scouting Sew Mama Sew, and stumbled upon the lovely fabrics of Jennifer Paganelli. This lady is uber creative! Her fabrics ooze what I would describe as sunshine happy! Most have unique color combinations which she credits as an outcome of living in places like New England, the Caribbean and NYC. "Modgirls, Pretty Please and Dance with Me" are just a few of her fabric collections over at her company Sis Boom. Of course I now have to investigate this creative force further and I find she has a blog and a flickr account! Sweet, now I feel like I know here even better!

Jennifer's fabrics have been described as "More of a mash up that makes you think, dream and take risks! She’s looking for color warping, shape shifting experiences for her customers that have been described as offbeat and eclectic combinations that are like an over-caffeinated and charged up version of real life."

These just shout summer happy! I see pillows and napkins/tablecloths in these bright fun colors!

Along with her fantastic fabrics she also sells adorable tunics like the one displayed in the "Cute Picture of the Week". Above are a few of her fabric boxes and she also creates fantastic aprons, perfect for any gift! Now that I have fallen in love, I just need to decide what fabric to purchase for fun summer pillows. My sofa is a neutral tan so I can go in any direction, do you have a favorite?

Go get yourself a little sunshine over at the Sis Boom website! I promise it will brighten your day!

It's a Trina Turk Tuesday!

the wonderfully creative Trina Turk

Displayed in the lobby of the Boston Design Center are these gorgeous fabrics from Schumacher. With a tad bit of research I find they are the much anticipated (at least by me...) indoor/outdoor fabric collection by the fantastic Trina Turk! I fell in love with Trina Turk when I purchased my first Bonita Dress from one of her summer collections. It was an intricate mix of a sea blue and gorgeous grass green with flecks of silver, it was perfect for a wedding soiree! When I heard she was creating a residential fabric line I was overjoyed to say the least! Imagine different size pillows in these fabrics, it would feel so summery. I can just see my outdoor table decked out in the Peacock Fabric below! Very Fun! Her fabrics are always full of interesting patterns and fantastic color combinations! Check out a few of her patterns below!

A few favorite looks for Summer 2009!

Monday Morning Happy!

Happy New Week!
Do you ever start a Monday and know how hectic the week will be like already? Well that's where I am today, though in an energetic, motivated way! I should just apologize in advance, looking at my schedule it is going to be a nutty week so I am not sure how much time I will have to blog. Please know how much I appreciate each one of you taking a minute in your day to check in! I have a few things to sprinkle throughout the week, I just can't promise everyday!

Here is a sneak peak at a project I have been working on!

This is for a Formal/Casual Living Room: the top print Robert Allen Fabric will be gorgeous window panels, it hard to see but the Mitchell Gold fabric is a warm turquoise for the sofa, the deep gold/butter velvet will be for plush chairs and the Sable Leather is for a long tufted ottoman! Below is the carpet which pulls the room together. I can't wait until it is installed and I can share photos!

The Cute picture of the week is a tired puppy at the American Kennel Club Show. Isn't he just adorable?
Enjoy the week
