High Point Market + Friends

Over the last year I have been so incredibly lucky to attend many design events across the country and meet many new people. Those outside the world of blogging might not understand what a tight, small community we are and how we have all made life long friendships through our blogs! It is truly a gift when your "work" friendships become personal friendships. Some of these people made my trip to High Point Market even more fun!

My "co-workers" for the week! Christian, me, Jill, Cassandra, Ashlina, Crystal and Katie!

You all know why I loved this room in the Lily Pulitzer showroom. Hello typography and against bright pink! Brilliant!

I was a lucky girl not only did I see Christian of  Maison21 in September but I also got to see him in October! I was ecstatic to finally have a chance to meet Katie Armour in person! She is one of the creators of Matchbook Magazine! Seriously she is just as sweet as you would think!

Barclay Butera High Point
This was the entrance to the Barclay Butera Showroom! It stopped me in my tracks! Look at all that symmetry, you almost don't notice it because of the gorgeously painted wall but it's there!

Deborah WSJ High POint
Deborah Needleman is a goddess in the design community! Did you know she was the editor of Domino Magazine and is now the editor of the Wall Street Journal Magazine? Well when she sat down at our table in the press room Cassandra of Coco+Kelley and I almost fainted. We all had such a lovely chat about Social Media, Design and Magazines. It was the best "gab sheesh" of the week. Not only was it great to have a chance to meet Deborah in person but when I saw this tweet, I was overjoyed!

Now the mission I have for you is to click over to Amazon and buy her new book "The Perfectly Imperfect Home"! She provides tips on ways to "create a relaxed, stylish, and comfortable home"! And if I can add.... most that will easily fit into any budget! Win Win!

I can't thank the Cheminne, VP of Marketing at High Point Market for reaching out and asking me to be a Style Spotter. It was such a wonderful experience and everyone I met was so helpful and welcoming! If you are a designer and interesting in going to market plan now! The spring show starts April 21st, jump over to the website for all the details. If you attend I promise you will come away inspired and with many new friends!
