Let's Talk - Do you rearrange furniture to fit the Christmas Tree?

One of my favorite parts about decorating for the holidays is moving the furniture around to fit the Christmas tree! Not only does the house smell great from the fern but I walk into this room each day welcomed by that "new room" feel! So what about you, do you move the furniture around to fit the tree in or like the rooms below do you just nestle it into your current arrangement?

  1. yes my mom always does...at her house, we have high ceilings, so we get a 14-15 ft tree. it needs room! ;)

  2. I have to rearrange one area to fit the tree. The years that we get a real tree I have to take out furniture to make room, but this year I opted for EASY and put up our skinny tree from the tote. The photos are beauties!

  3. Depends on the size of the tree. I had a huge one once that required the furniture to be moved. But this year I have a smallish tree and it fit right in!

  4. I definitely have to move the furniture or there is no good place to put it. We all decided we liked it best in the living room where there is normally no unused corners.

  5. Yes I always do (and my family always did as a kid). I like having the tree in the room we're in all the time so other things have to go out to make room. This year our rearranging has actually inspired me to move some things around permanately.

  6. I say why not rearrange the whole house to fit the tree!!!! I love getting crazy and putting guest room furniture in the living room and moving tables around from living to sitting area. If I had a couple of movers on hand at all times I would put the bed downstairs in front of the fireplace for a long romantic weekend!
