Happy Holidays and a special thank you!

Good Morning friends! Please accept my apologies for the lack of posts this week to be honest I just have not been able to muster the energy for holiday cheer. We had some sad news with the passing of my Gram on Sunday and the sudden death of my best friends dad on Monday. With the wonderful support of friends and family we get through this Christmas time which I am calling the year of the "nonexistent Christmas".

Next Tuesday I will be back blogging with great images of cozy rooms and tips on "designing with what you have" in the new year. I hope you will join in on the conversation!

In the mean time I wanted to just send out a heartfelt thanks for the thousands of you who read CreateGirl on a weekly basis, I have enjoyed meeting many of you this year and always look forward to your comments!

Enjoy this holiday time with your loved ones and take an extra minute over the next few days to thank and hug someone you treasure!
See you next week,

  5. Julieann,
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma and your family friend. Losing someone at a time of year when everyone else is celebrating is particularly hard. My sister's father-in-law passed away last week and we've been spending a lot of time talking about what family means this time of year and really trying to make the most of all the moments. I hope you'll be able to relish in the many wonderful memories she's left with you. xosk

  6. J,
So sorry to hear about your losses. I lost my father 3 years ago a week before xmas so I totally understand how you feel. Decorating, wrapping gifts and baking xmas cookies seems ridiculous when all you really want is to be with the ones you love and miss. Big hugs to you. Take care.
