Tack it Up!

Sometimes you just need a creative simple solution to organize pictures and all the tear pages laying around which inspire us. This photo immediately made me breathe a weee bit easier. Isn't the entire work space just so refreshingly calm? I think a lot has to do with the simple formula of dark floors, white desks and only one pattern. The expansive burlap and nailheads add a bit of drama by taking up with entire wall. Fantastic!

The light fixture is great too. I love how everything has a black outline--the chairs, the light fixture, the window and the pin-up wall.

I love the idea of that burlap wall! What do you think is behind it?

hmmm that was my question too. Could there be maybe some kind of cork behind there, maybe cork flooring squares? I love the effect. It has just enough room for my to-do lists. :)

Oh I LOVE this! It's going to be my new inspiration for my workspace. I LOVE the idea of an entire wall of tackable space! Thanks for posting.

LOVE this picture!! I want a bulletin board wall. Also, love the idea of using single earings ({where you have lost the other one}) as Tacks

the nailheads are what's going on around the perimeter, right? One thing is that the perfect arrangement of posted items seems unnatural and less appealing. Where's the energy, the creative flourish of a quickly pinned tear sheet or crumpled up note?? That's how ideas flow!

Was it this weekend you were coming into town or in March? Time escapes me. . .

Great image. You should also check out "Forbo" which is a fabric surface adhered to a rubbery backing. The great thing about it is that it is self-healing, so a year later (when the burlap or cork looks chewed up), the Forbo will still look great.

The nailheads are a great detail.
